VANITY I am a long time lurker and occasional poster. I consider Free Republic to be one of the most informative sites available, but I find myself confused with the direction of commentary regarding Russia and the Ukriane. The media, the democrats, George Soros,the UN, the World economic forum. ALL either have LIED to us continually for the last four years or are actively involved in planning the destruction of our nation. At the Risk of being called a putinista or putard I have to ask the question. Why do we accept as fact the narrative that we are being fed by the msm? Perhaps you are correct. I do think Putin was provoked and forced into this by the NWO. It may indeed result in his downfall. However, Knowing his history, I believe he will annex Eastern and Southern Ukraine (Russian Speaking), in addition to Crimea.

So we have the Soros / Globalist / New World Order team who want to protect their ability to continue to launder money through Ukraine and to bleed a few billion from Russia every month, going against the Putin team who want to continue to sell Europe most of their fuel, because the Soros Greens in Europe have decided producing their own energy is baaaad (just like US Progressives).

I certainly don’t think we ought to send troops. But when people forget Putin’s long history of brutality and corruption and claim that Ukraine is just some Soros puppet it’s hard to take them seriously.

I’ve been coming here for 20 years on and off and this is the worst I’ve seen it. It can’t all be PsyOps and it can’t all be old bitties that are nuttier than loons.
Nice try, but you are putting out the Putin spin. Here is a more accurate analogy.
Some part of Canada wants to join the USA so rebels there attack the government of Canada.
The USA provides the rebels with weapons, and then in 2014 and 2015 sends our own troops in to invade part of Canada.
After Canada manages to repel several incursions from the break-away provinces into the rest of Canada the Canadian government and our government agree to a cease fire.
Over the years both sides exchange fire across the cease fire line, with OSCE monitors maintaining daily logs of the shots fired and the direction they came from.
After 8 years of shelling by the US against Canada, and shelling back from Canada against the US positions in the break away provinces something like 14,000 people have died. Most are in the two opposing military factions.
And then the USA launches a full out invasion of Canada.
