"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.

Where did the photo of the Ukrainian girl with a lollipop and rifle come from?
The photo was taken by Alexei Kirichenko in Kiev, and is of his nine-year old daughter. He posted it to his Facebook account on Friday, with the simple message: “Young girl with candy”.
In the comments he is asked if it is his daughter, and he replies that it is. He is asked if the photo was staged to “to highlight the horrors of Putin invading a nation and putting civilians, including children, in danger.” He explains that the photo is staged, and that he gave his daughter the gun, unloaded, for the photo.

Not sure source of the Orwell quote but guessing it is from Orwell’s Most Interesting book, “Homage to Catalonia” where he travels to Spain to report on the Civil War and ends up joining the battle against the fascists. He gets shot in the neck at one point - survives - and continues on. Wonderful look at the total confusion in war — at times not knowing who he is shooting at - friend or foe? I recommend it to everyone. Time period 1936 to 1938.

Not in GA either. Poll watchers are as official as workers and usually not paid unless the dems are paying. One from each recognized part has permission to be there.

I’ve been looking at your photos of Reno all week. I’d ordinarily be there this week since the Spring National Bridge Championships are being held from March 10-20 at the Silver Legacy and Circus Circus hotels. I feel a longing to participate and a resentment against my government for making oppressive rules that prevent me from being where I want to be. They’ve stolen 2 years of activities that none of us will ever get back.

Best I can understand it, it was a 3-way cluster-bungle -- communists, fascists, and a bizarre contingent who just wanted to live free of the other two groups.
This current reporting about Ukraine should be the end of our media as we have known it. I'd be okay with having all of them split between Rittenhouse and Sandman.
