Like so many others I am sickened by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the gigantic humanitarian crisis it continues to create. #StandWithUkraine️
At DuckDuckGo, we've been rolling out search updates that down-rank sites associated with Russian disinformation.

Can’t wait for Web3 and decentralization.
Use Brave browser. They have their own search engine. Don’t know how woke it is, but generally I find what I’m looking for.
I only use other search engines when I absolutely have to. Usually Bing, but almost never Google.
Yes, I know both are terrible.
I switched to the Brave search engine.

Limiting searches of misinformation? Nah, what they’ve done is limit searches to propaganda. Ukraine is or has won the propaganda war and we see it in censorship decisions like this.
Is the Brave browser Startpage?

TIA
On “Brave” “start page” does better than Brave’s browser...
Whatever they deem Russian misinformation.
What is the differece between Brave browser and/or Startpage? Thx.
It can be selected in settings-—I just did it. Works well
Okay....I’ve been on Startpage (via Brave), for some time. I didn’t realize there is also a plain Brave search, as well. Thx
Start page is the search function is Brave’s browser. You have a choice in settings to select the search engine you want-—Start page is one of them and in the search bar it will search through whichever one you pick.
The Brave browser is great-—the Brave search engine-—well, nicely put-—stinks.
Or information on Covid.
Or information on vaccines. Only the company lines will be permitted.
Brave and Startpage are two different things. Brave is a browser and Startpage is a search engine.
Yeah, that’s how I use it.
