"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.
The choice is yours, and yours alone.
Trust and put faith in yourself.

No, you aren’t crazy. I’m going to make it a point from now on to specify I want Russian vodka in my cosmos.
I think Putin loves his country almost as much as Trump loves HIS country, which is much more than can be said for any of the people currently in power here. Putin is doing what he thinks is best for his country, which is appropriate for someone in his position. I don't begrudge him that. It's not his fault that no one in power is standing up for America right now.

I’ll be crazy with you. Growing up, I wasn’t trained to hate or fear any country or leader, so that may make it easier to not be automatically against Putin. I fear my own leader now more than Putin.

I started practicing semi-urban gardening around December. Not much I can grow in summer here ‘cept watermelons, maters, peppers and okra. I’ll have bananas by August and maybe some cherries soon (my little tree was full of blooms). If I’m lucky I’ll get an avocado or two. But, I have some lettuce, zucchini, cucumbers, beets, and radish working. Hopefully I’ll get some of them afore’n it gits too hot. Either way, I’ve learned some things to have a real garden starting in October in addition to the containers I have now. Everything so far has been from seed and I’m having a ball doing it.

Back in second grade, we were taught to hide under our desks in case the Russians attacked us with nuclear weapons. Cleveland (where I grew up) was #8 on their list, we were told. I'm pretty sure that desk, heavy as it was, would have had no effect in the event of a direct nuclear strike.

The Black Russian reminded me of a date I had a long, long time ago. Was at a gathering when a co-worker approached me and asked if he could buy me a drink. When I agreed, he asked what I wanted and I said a Black Russian. He then asked the bartender how much one would be - when he learned the price (I don’t remember what it was), he asked the bartender if he had something in “gray”. Cracked me up.

Those wrong-way drivers have been happening in Arizona for 10 years or more. They just started up all of a sudden and then became prevalent... very weird. I even had my own experience with one last year. Fortunately it was in the middle of the day, but the guy was coming the wrong way down a freeway on ramp.
