Federal government unions are going to demand pay raises soon for Federal employees due to inflation
Can not tell | 6 March 2022 | Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin

Federal government unions are going to be asking for pay raises due to the spike in fuel costs and the subsequent huge inflationary spike in goods that is going to result from that. The media will try to suppress this, not report on it, or downplay it.

Meanwhile, the private sector is going to suffer horribly until the mid-term elections (where there will probably be cheating again) because the government can NOT raise interest rates very much due to resulting collapse in the housing/car/stock/other markets. Get ready.

Real wages peaked in 1971-1972 for American workers. Wealth inequality was at its historical low. It has been downhill since than.

My memory of the Carter years was that private sector unions demanded and got more frequent raises,

Funny how the truth comes out. To the poster who said once a year, bookmark this entire thread. I am so sick of folks not listening to me. I told everyone on here for YEARS that illegal immigration was our #1 problem. It has been. Go back and research what I've written and call me on it. Debate with information, not disinformation.

Whatever percentage of increase is given should be the percentage of the workforce should be cut.

Government created inflation, and government workers are not hurt by it. Ordinary citizens are.

Meanwhile, those in the private sector, with their decades long stagnant wages, once again are left holding an empty bag.

Government workers (only 27.3% union) are certainly hurt by it. They have to buy food, pay utilities, mortgages and such. Unfortunately that 27.3% make enough noise to congresscritters seem like 72.7%. They think that forced increases from the taxpayer will at least match inflation it might for a year maybe, inflation always runs ahead. They never get that as do most union members. This particular flavor of union leadership encourages that kind of thinking. (As do all union leadership!). The only true beneficiaries are the upper echelon of the unions because it keeps them in power and perks.

‘working’ for the government means you never miss a paycheck or pay any price for the evils that government does.

So are they asking for pay raises that surpass the inflation rate which was caused by them?
