We are about to experience unprecedented hardship in this country. Gas jumped 30 cents per gallon overnight here.

For those who don’t know—federal pay is determined once a year and takes effect in January.
In a wildly inflationary environment this becomes quaint.

Fire the makers of this mess, largely the federal employees and their kingdom builders.

This is one thing that really pisses me off, Government Employee’s should NOT get a Raise because the Government DEVALUED our currency, and they do it and have done it Intentionally

No offense to the federal employees in our midst but federal employees are ALWAYS well protected compared to those in the private sector. So, NO, NO SPECIAL pay raises for the federal employees! Their pay and benefits already exceed substantially those of private sector workers.

Pay for employees of the federal government should decrease every time that inflation increases.

At my company, pay raises are determined once a year.
In an inflationary period, employees with mobile skills keep up by switching jobs.

It will take great hardship to wake up the electorate.

resulting collapse in the housing/car/stock/other markets."
the impact of increased interest on debt payments.
The government has run up a huge chunk of our debt when interest rates were rock-bottom. Watch them scurry for cover when interest rates rise and the interest alone on debt payments consumes much of the budget.

How many people actually work for the government in one form or another? My guess is it’s over 50M.

Federal employees vote overwhelmingly for Democrats.
There is no pretext of being apolitical in federal service.

In 2020 93% of employee contributions in HHS went to Democrats. They will get a payoff for this.

My memory of the Carter years was that private sector unions demanded and got more frequent raises, and non-union workers got to find out in a hurry how valuable they are—they would have to threaten to leave if they were not given more frequent raises—sometimes the tactic worked, sometimes it did not.

Federal unions should be illegal. Major conflict of interest.
