I hate this cancel culture BS we have acquired, when I was younger (lol 10 years ago) the common belief was that no matter how wrong or stupid an opinion was it’s still free speech.

After a corporate presentation about the importance and “celebration” of diversity one employee said, “How long before it goes beyond tolerance and we each must publicly affirm our support of diversity?” Another chimed in, “Or, we have to prove we’ve had sex with our own sex?” This is where we go when we are forced to say one thing or another. I have often wondered why people say the things they say when just keeping quiet would have been the better option. We no longer have the option to not speak out...where does that stop?
Social cancelling is a way of making sure the only views expressed are rightthink. Any deviation, no matter how small from the approved narrative, must be corrected or punished.

The best response would be to demand that they, the MET management, in public print, denounce Putin, wagering the lives of their families on the hope that he does not take it personally and retaliate.
And if they *really* mean it, they should take their family on an extended trip to Russia, and say it *there*.
Otherwise, they are hypocrites, asking her to endanger the lives of *her* family members to make *themselves* sound virtuous.
