I can’t believe I looked this up online a few weeks ago after getting COVID..which I know is a virus..but I was just curious :)
YES that’s how boring my life is :)
and YES, covid was horrific, probably because i’m so fat, but I got better and no ill effects lingering.
I think!
Rather get covid than get the vax.

I once a dream where I saw some tiny cells in an aquarium. So, I teased them. Consequence to my teasing, they grew large enough to break the aquarium and attack me.
Don’t tease bacterium.

The bacterium carries all its DNA inside a membranous pouch, unlike most bacteria, whose genetic material floats, unbound, within their cells.

Sounds like this bacterium has got its act together.
I like the cut of this bacterium’s jib.

Pretty cool.
I’m not sure why they didn’t present ribosomal phylogeny.

Thiomargarita namibiensis is 0.75 mm WIDE, whereas the reported bacteria’s size in your link is reported in terms of it’s length. Both can be seen with the unaided eye. I wonder if they calculated the volume of either to compare sizes. See largest, org for big bacteria list.
