Just a thought, but the Russian economy and GDP is smaller than California. So how long can they sustain their current battle operations?
Don’t they have printing presses?
Its a good economic question, how much does it cost per day of operations for Russia.
And an alliance with China who is not exactly pro Western hypocritical democracy anyway.
It’s pretty easy:
* Conscripts are cheap
* Oil is abundant
* All their gear is 40 years old and was built by the USSR
It doesn’t make for a very effective fighting force. Sure Russia has 20,000 tanks, but they have only ten modern fighter jets.
Thanks to Biden’s energy policies, a lot longer than a year ago.
Russia will be out of ordinance for Ukraine war in less than a week. No logistics planning by Putin and his generals. Putin is in the Urals raging at his generals right now because they told him that all they had to do was take Karkiv and the rest of Ukraine will capitulate. Big fail by Putin.
Putin is surrounded by Yes Men. He is about to find out that his battle gear isn’t as good as advertised.
Russia is dealing with supply chain issues and they’ll be out of ordinance in less than a week and the factories can get the supplies they need to make more for at least 2-3 month. Big flop by Putin. The munitions they are using aren’t even made in Russia! They were from Euro countries!
With Biden’s help? Along time. With Trump’s energy plan...not long.
If Putin fails on this venture. It will be spun as due to the greatest military genius since Alexander the Great - Biden!

This is THE question and people on both sides are avoiding this.
*It was noted early on that the Russkies did NOT have a proper logistics train, did NOT appear to have requisite fuel/medical support in place.
*They apparently did not count on such resistance. Call it a “reverse Napoleon.”
The Russians probably needed 500,000 troops if they wanted to occupy Ukraine. I think they just wanted to capture the President of Ukraine so the government may fall so they can install a puppet and then leave.
The Russian military people are paid whether in Russia or fighting in Ukraine. No additional expense.
The ammunition being used was already manufactured and sitting in warehouses in Russia. Again no additional expense.
Only cost as I see it is replacing lost military hardware in battles.
To your point, was talking with a fighter jock the other day and asked if the “Ghost” story was true.
He said yes, so I asked, how many of those six planes were modern/state-of-the-art?
He said at least two. Two were older “Floggers,” but two were MiG 29s and or “Flanker” variants. We don’t know about the other two.
Thank you. See my comment above.
Putin’s last gasp is the Odessa invasion which is starting now. I pray the troops in Odessa can fight back like the heroes in Kherson who fought to delay the Russian ground forces so Putin is now forced to use the marine troops as offensive troops for Odessa, rather than mop up and occupation. If Odessa holds, Putin loses.
Pretty much what I think. Just like in old days of USSR.
All those eastern block countries like Hungary & Poland were “independent” in theory, but all had puppet governments under control of Russia.
According to Gravitas, not long. Gravitas also has some great videos of protests against Putin all over the world. I don’t know if our media is covering them because I don’t watch our media. They’re probably still gushing about Biden’s brilliance and bashing Trump.
