Putin is surrounded by Yes Men. He is about to find out that his battle gear isn’t as good as advertised.

I agree. Desert Storm showed that Russia’s equipment was little more than third-world quality, and I don’t believe it’s improved. Lots of folks think their modern MBTs, like the T-14, are comparable to the West’s MBTs, but I don’t believe it for a second.

I imagine that his oligarch buddies are going to show up at his dacha with some long knives pretty soon.

Putin is finished. His generals must know this. This episode has exposed their weakness to the world.

While this is painful to watch…it is good that the world knows the Russian bear is not as scary as it appeared two weeks ago. Where is the shock and awe?

Putin is surrounded by Yes Men.

That is by design. Putin killed, or sent off to the gulag, those with opinions different from his.

Most of us have had bosses that thought like Putin. Thankfully, I had a battalion commander in Germany that demanded imagination and intelligence from his officers. Under his leadership, we went from a C-3 to a C-1 (combat ready) in about a year.

OTOH, there was a job I quit before my first day was over. When I saw the employment reports that showed 200% annually, I knew it wouldn't work out.
