Five people dead, baby found alive at suspected drug party in Colorado

Five people were discovered dead inside a Colorado apartment — where a four-month-old baby was also found alive — after what police are investigating as a possible drug-fueled party that turned fatal.

The bodies of three women and two men were discovered inside a unit at The North Range Crossings Apartments on East 104th Avenue, Commerce City police Chief Clint Nichols said, the Denver Post reported.

Another adult and an infant were found alive, he added.

A substance that “could be described as illicit narcotics” was found in the home, said Nichols, adding that further testing was planned.

“If it is going to be illicit drugs, they were very, very bad,” he said, according to the news outlet. “If it was drugs, no one was able to get to a phone and call 911 for a medical emergency.

“It happened pretty quickly — speculation on my part,” added the chief, who noted that it did not appear the victims died violently.

There also was no indication of any hazardous gases in the area, Nichols said.

Since 1960 illegal drug use has soared in America. Opioid use has killed many, destroyed lives and families. The widespread use of marijuana is not without huge costs. Since 1960 autism, which was once a relatively uncommon phenomena now affects 1/150 live births. That is not to say the permanent lesser mental impairments in babies who’s mothers knowing they were pregnant or not used illegal drugs.

The situation and decadence if anything is getting worse. Hard to build a prosperous ,just society when its people are rotting.

In a sick way it’s curing our drug problem by killing off all the drug addicts. Last year near me two guys died after snorting cocaine laced with fentanyl. It immediately stopped their breathing and since nobody was around which Narcan which neutralizes fentanyl they suffocated to death. Anyone who does ANY kind of street drug today is completely out of their mind, even marijuana if it’s bought illegally. They put this fentanyl crap into everything today.

[[A substance that “could be described as illicit narcotics”]]

Or,could be described as pink elephant wearing a tutu singing “all long the watchtower” if one was so inclined to describe it as such.

Was it illicit drugs or not? Simple question. Some drugs are not classified yet and so technically aren’t illegal yet. Don’t they test the drugs right on the scene these days?

My wife was telling me that people have parties where they empty the contents of a medicine cabinet onto a table and grab things at random and ingest them.

I have never heard of anything like that.

In my college days, I smoked my share of pot, even did some hash a few times.
It’s been over 40yrs since I touched the stuff. I don’t miss it.
Had to stop alcohol 5yrs ago, and I do miss a good glass of wine with pasta or a steak. It is what it is.
I’m Italian too.

I know so many folks who are no longer with us because of coke, speed, heroin, and related things - suicide, heart attack at age 45, etc. Doing and overdoing drugs was part of the local musick scene. I’m not exactly sure why I’m still alive, to be quite honest. Heh.

“Fentanyl strikes again”

A daughter broke her arm over the weekend (not a terrible break). They gave her fentanyl which in the amount used lasted less then an hour. They wouldn’t give her any prescription painkillers after she left the hospital.

I, on the other hand, still have two bottles of opoid pills, given after two root canals. Never used one until I had a terrible earache. One of those pills worked wonders.

Someone close to me became addicted to Xanax (street, not prescribed) in his teens and I believe if he hadn’t kicked it a couple of years ago he’d be dead today. Dead either from getting a fentanyl-laced dose, or from the insane actions he conducted and participated in while he was high.

It’s a really dangerous, highly addictive drug.

All of the people who die from fentanyl o.d. are going to be replaced by all of the illegals flooding the country.

Sam Quinones (author of Dreamland about the opioid epidemic) has written an amazing book about Fentanyl's rise, called The Least of Us. It explains a lot of confusing things about fentanyl and why it's killing so many.

Well I say that’s between you and yourself.
I often have to talk to myself, or God, in order to have an intelligent conversation. ;p)

Good to see you back.
