“Fentanyl strikes again”

A daughter broke her arm over the weekend (not a terrible break). They gave her fentanyl which in the amount used lasted less then an hour. They wouldn’t give her any prescription painkillers after she left the hospital.

I, on the other hand, still have two bottles of opoid pills, given after two root canals. Never used one until I had a terrible earache. One of those pills worked wonders.

I had no experience with fentqnyl until I had a near-fatal accident in late 2019. I was dosed with it during the 47 mile ambulance ride to the local hospital. I know this because I dimly heard one of medics announce what he was giving me at the beginning of the ride. I was mostly unaware of the rest of the trip.

They hit me with it again just before I was airlifted to Sacred Heart in Spokane. And again, I was only dimly aware of the flight. So I suppose it does have its uses.
