Electric French top, Oulala.
the chicks in Italy are cuter

No, I’m an electrical engineer. The amount of power delivered by an electric range is limited by the amperage of the circuit to which the range is connected.
You’re also going to need to support your claim “Induction is 98+% efficient at putting heat into the pan ...”
p.s. Not talking about commercial ranges in the first place.
BTW:
A BTU is a unit of ENERGY equivalent to a joule (J).
A BTU is 1.0551 kJ
What’s important here, in terms of rapid heating, is POWER in watts (W) or J/s.
In Mrs. Lucky’s opinion, nothing comes close to a wood fired oven for baking.
Don’t think so. Just bought a new house. Guess what I ordered? A propane range. If the communist stop their manufacture, I will buy a used one. If I can’t buy a used one, I will buy a commercial gas range, which I know they will not outlaw. And if they outlaw that, I will build my own!

Gordon Ramsay use a coal fired stove : )
FTA: .... decarbonize energy
This is not possible.
Thanks!
when I was a child, Dad would take me to work occasionally and we’d make grilled cheese sangwiches and tomato soup on an old ben franklin coal stove.
good times :)
Amps x volts = Watts (power)
Reminds me I need to fix my propane Oklahoma Grill (outdoor)
I am liking the BlueStar Turn Induction - one of the few induction models with actual knobs on it.
“ 36” TURN INDUCTION COOKTOP
BSP36INDCK”
But it is currently in a 30 week back order!

That’s really nice. Particularly like the grill function.
True as far as it goes.
More completely, in a sinusoidal ac circuit
V x I x cos(theta) = P
where
V is the rms (root mean squared) value of voltage in volts (V)
I is the rms value of current in amps (A)
theta is the phase angle between the sine waves of current and voltage (degrees or radians)
cos(theta) is power factor (PF) which is dimensionless
For resistive heating like an oven, theta = 0 (the voltage and current are in phase with each other) and PF = 1. For something with an inductive component, such as a motor, PF < 1 because the current lags the voltage by some angle theta.
you can apply the same formula to dc
rms is like .766
If people can not preserve their own food then it is easier to control them.
You can have my Miele six burner gas cooktop when you pry my cold dead fingers from the knobs. Gas rules.
Yep....and, the third sentence....Amy believED.
As in....silly Amy, she was a gas using dummy.
We have an induction cooktop, at our family’s lake place.....it’s horrid.
Nothing beats cooking with good old natural gas.
