Judge denies emergency order for NYC hospital to give ivermectin to COVID patient
A Manhattan judge says she won’t force a hospital to give an ailing post-COVID-19 patient the controversial drug ivermectin after the man’s wife sued for the non-FDA-approved treatment, according to a new ruling.
Erika Quintero-Sherry brought a civil case against Mount Sinai Hospital on Jan. 26 seeking an emergency order to have the drug given to husband Benjamin Chernyavsky — who’s been “on death’s doorstep” after contracting the virus last month.
Following two days of hearings in the case last week, including testimony from two Mount Sinai doctors, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Lynn Kotler said she wouldn’t grant the emergency request to force the hospital’s staff to administer the risky drug based on Quintero-Sherry’s “paltry” evidence and going against Chernyavsky’s treating doctor’s recommendations, as well as the recommendations from the medical community at large.

I’m not one to say inflammatory things. That said, I cannot see any other explanation than that they are killing thousands by denying the human right to try other treatments.
Run to tractor supply. Get the horse paste, the apple flavor tasted like apple gum. Sneak it in. Dial up the dose by weight and administer it.
And get a really, really good lawyer and sue the hell out of this judge, the doctors and the hospital.

The hospital gets paid for giving remdesivir and then finishing you off on a ventilator. They get nothing for giving Ivermectin.
It’s risky because it doesn’t provide the liability protection the PREP Act confers on covered countermeasures, and its efficacy makes people wonder why in Hades they should get an experimental vaxx.

No, the government should NOT be forcing a hospital to give a particular drug to a patient but should ALLOW it to be given if that's what the patient wants.
I wonder if this patient acquired the coof while in the hospital, a nosocomial case from a vaxxed, superspreader employee...
If so, continuing proof, as if it were needed, that mandatory muzzles and vaxxes are NOT about public health.

Yes this is utter bullshit in every way possible BUT WHY DIDN’T THEY GET IT SOONER? At some point in this evil game people have to get the stuff, get the vitamins, get their kids out of school, don’t get the shots, don’t give the kids the shots. I am almost out of patience and sympathy - this information has been out for 2 years.
Yes you’re right. I didn’t read the article (per FR Rules) but I’m betting they won’t let this woman anywhere near her husband at this point. Just do it, just get it, just give it before you ask anyone’s permission. And they should have had it sooner.
Judges who have ordered IVM in other cases like this have saved lives. Only useful idiots, morons, and those concerned about money are against Ivermectin in cases like this. Just the way it is.
I fervently hope this POS judge gets a severe disease that causes a slow and painful death. She has zero ethical right to deny this request, and I would also say no legal right.

Somebody please tell me if this kind of willful denial of an approved drug (unless for euthanasia) has been supported by the courts, let alone put in place as health care policy.
Matter of fact the FDA is not in charge of approving or not approving how a doctor decides to treat a patient. The FDA is in charge of approving or not approving a drug and signing off on its labeled uses.
Crimes against humanity. I bet this is a leftist commiepuke judge who is opposed to the death penalty for murderers, yet wants innocent people to die by preventing them from getting the medicine that is known to save them.
I hope people are making lists of these criminals.

The man is dying, but the judge is worried about a “risky” treatment. Shouldn’t the man be advised that the treatment is “risky”, and make up his own mind?
The main risk will be that the rest of his family will accuse him of being a Trump supporter and not invite him to Thanksgiving.
