You expressed my bafflement exactly. One can hope that she is simply motivated by a spirit to do the right thing but that she must be a Democrat when she had ambitions to be elected in Hawaii. Or, she simply is playing for a video career somewhere.

Tulsi Gabbard however has me totally baffled, I just cannot perceive her motivations or intent most of the time.

She seems like a a duplicitous and charming snake in the grass trying to come off as all things to all people. Gabbard has a "D'' after her name. That's what every conservative should be aware of.

My take on her is that she has some liberal points of view, but is mostly a moderate. As a presidential candidate she would have made a damn good president because she refuses to be controlled by the deep state sort-of organizations. She seems like she makes her own decisions based on her values and doesn’t bow down to the party. That said, as I was writing this post I looked at her voting record and she is not what I thought. She’s a liberal with the voice of a moderate. Her voting record makes it clear she believes in bigger government in most cases, curtailing rights in most cases, and in general not a friend of conservative values.

Clinton damaged her chances in the last elections causing a lot of Hillary supporters not to back Gabbard. Tulsi had dared pull on the wig of Hillary by accusing her of mischief. Clinton accused Tulsi of being in league with Trump and Russia at a critical moment in the campaigns.
Tulsi has been waiting for revenge and now she can pile on!
Tulsi is one of the best the Dem’s have and while very liberal she is not anti military and not anti American and will compromise. We haven’t seen the last of her. Some have hoped she would come over to “our” side but she would be a Liz Cheney or a Murkowski at best.

She is a liberal with principles. Like Kristin Sinema, she supports 90% of the liberal agenda, but that's because she believes it in her heart, not because she has Fascist leanings.

I like Tulsi. Tulsi makes a good talk and says all the right things to make her look sane, but Tulsi doesn’t walk the walk and consistently votes with her nutball Marxist colleagues. She may sound good and look good in a bikini but under that bikini top or bottom is a hammer and cycle tattoo.
