Getting reports that after hundreds protested against school mask mandates yesterday, today, @OakdaleJUSD barricaded any student not properly wearing a mask in the gym and refused to turn on the heat. Police were called for a wellness check and police turned on the heat.

You can not barricade fire doors in a public building.
You mean as in a severe beating, entry wounds made by various calibers, or a face full of 00 buck?

What good are barriers on the inside of outward opening doors?
Students on inside could just pull them away or step over.
People from the outside could kick them down or step over.
They could all come to Wisconsin where we don’t wear masks. Vaccines are a personal choice. And people just ignore signs to the contrary.

I am in the North Shore near most of the Hughes locations. I grew up with the Murrays. And was sitting in the theater watching risky business when the car chase scene went right outside the theater I was sitting in. Even Harry met Sally started out just out side my office on LSD.
Chicago was great for filming. Now I can’t even talk to most of the people here. I hide back up in Wisconsin where people are normal.

American youths have a right to a free, appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment.
This is a civil rights violation. Should not be hard to prosecute. Get going parents, if you care.
P. S. I’m so glad that the country is seeing that most teachers and administrators (most, not all obvs) are garbage. I’ve felt this way for a long time, much of it just a gut feeling, and covid confirmed it. Flame away.

Looking at photo it appears the tables are inside the gym ( wooden floor of gym visable) Did kids barricade themselves in?

My brother lived in Heart Of The City until recently just blocks from where they film all those insufferable tv shows. When they’re filming there’s a cop every 6 feet. But once they wrap for the day the cops all vanish and the Morlocks come out.
I’m in the west burbs and used to love Chicago. But no more. You couldn’t get me down there at gun point.

It brings back the fundamental question: WHY the hysteria? WHY the emotional and near-physical psychotic "need" to mandate vaccines and mandate masks by the teacher unions and government employees?
That’s yet another layer of stupid to add to the cake.
Another question. Were kids being supervised at the time. I taught 7 years ago and leaving kids unsupervised was a serious violation, even emergency bathroom trips required us to get coverage.
A good attorney might get kidnapping out of that!
