Canada’s Conservative Establishment Turns on Truckers: ‘Take Down the Barricades’

Conservative Party interim leader Candice Bergen demanded an end to trucker-led “Freedom Convoy” protests blockading international borders on Thursday, urging anti-mandate demonstrations to end.
Her statement in the House of Commons appeared to be a dramatic shift from her initial support for the protests, which have lasted nearly two weeks in the national capital, Ottawa, but have begun to dispute Canada-U.S. supply chains through blockades along Canada’s southern border. Ambassador Bridge, the largest American-Canadian crossing, has come to an ongoing standstill this week as hundreds of trucks park themselves on and around it, inhibiting international traffic.

CHINO leaders are in Canada too. Pat King said their legislators have made a fortune on the mandates with kickbacks.
Ontario Court Freezes Access to GiveSendGo Crowdfunding for Freedom Convoy Truckers, UPDATE GiveSendGo Responds

UPDATE: GiveSendGo Responds: Know this! Canada has absolutely ZERO jurisdiction over how we manage our funds here at GiveSendGo. All funds for EVERY campaign on GiveSendGo flow directly to the recipients of those campaigns, not least of which is The Freedom Convoy campaign.
— GiveSendGo (@GiveSendGo) February 11, 2022
Ontario Premier Doug Ford has gone to court to freeze all of the GiveSendGo crowdfunding donations raised for the Freedom Convoy truckers. The current GiveSendGo fundraiser sits at $8.4 million US.
There is a lot of legal complexity here, and it is not clear the Ontario court has any jurisdiction let alone a feasible way to determine or enforce how and where the funds are distributed. However, in the bigger picture the government is trying to block the funding of the Freedom Convoy.
Premier Doug Ford is the leader of the “progressive conservative party,” the Canadian version of the DeceptiCons.
Apparently, the premier coordinated with Ontario Attorney General to file a restraint order under 490.8 of the Criminal Code, identifying the funds as “offense related property.”
Lol, that reminds me of me.
I will ask my grandson on Sunday how his class reacted to mask shedding; I want to see the look on his face.
He is always asking me if I want to see how Biden walks, lol.
Then he will say, do you think Joe has had his pudding yet? So funny.
Going over there for Super Bowl, yuk, I hate football.
I am making an 8-hour layered salad, shrimp bites and a Blueberry pretzel cake.
Going to hate the half time with the police Killer song singing celebrities. Snoop doggie and that other one.
Leo’s will be there, want to see what they say about them.
Do you have Utube Spunster, they have different people on there showing what is going on in Ottawa.
Ford is a member of the WEF, and I suspect many of the premiers are....after all, that’s who the WEF targeted. WEF is proud of the number of “servants” they have in the higher up positions of the Canadian government. Turdeau and Crystia Freeland being two of the biggest.
Yes, it’s true about Candice Bergen. She sounded all disgusted with Turdeau for a few days, then was stupid enough to think she had people fooled, so she let her true colors show through. As if these heroes would just go home because this phony politician said “you’ve made your point, we’ll handle it from here.” Fat chance.
You have to be careful with those vacuums, DIL had one and when it went through laundry area right off garage door entrance, picked up a pebble and marked her wood floors.
Overheard in our newsroom. "I've been a cameraman for over 40 years and I've never seen anything like this. Usually during a protest, they used to understand the power of the media and grant us prime locations to film it. But this is different. Now they see us as the enemy."— Aaron Reid (@aaronjreid) February 10, 2022
Follow the Science?
If only it were so easy.

The C.D.C. describes medium-rare hamburgers as “undercooked” and dangerous. The agency also directs Americans to avoid raw cookie dough and not to eat more than a teaspoon or so of salt every day. And the C.D.C. tells sexually active women of childbearing age not to drink alcohol unless they are on birth control.
If you happen to be somebody who engages in any of these risky activities, I have some bad news for you this morning: You apparently do not believe in following the science.
The misery of the Covid-19 pandemic — with its death, illness, isolation and frustration — has left many Americans desperate for clear guidance on how to live safely. People want to protect themselves, their family and their communities, especially the most medically vulnerable members of it. This instinct is both understandable and profoundly decent.
But it has led to a widespread misunderstanding. Many people have come to believe that expert opinion is a unitary, omniscient force. That’s the assumption behind the phrases “follow the science” and “what the science says.” It imagines science almost as a god — Science — who could solve our dilemmas if we only listened.

We used to joke that CDC had a dartboard with ridiculous statements on it. Every morning a CDC employee would be blindfolded and asked to throw a dart at the board.
The statement it landed on would be “Edict of the Day”. We laughed and laughed...
It appears we may have been closer to the truth than we knew.
I watched the State Department presser, now the media is discussing Russia and war non stop.
Blocking the international bridge may have been a little bit of overreach. It felt good at the time, but has given the politicians and their overlords something to latch on to on both sides of the border.
So the pressure has increased accordingly.
The “experts” will say whatever they are paid to say.
I’d say you hit the bulls eye.
I think the thing that gets many of us is that we are CONSTANTLY going through upheaval every time the natives protest. I don’t disagree that they have issues, but they close down highways (we have to drive many extra miles to get around), they take over property which was purchased by someone for a home or homes, a few years ago a handful of the women decided they were going to walk the highway from Hamilton to Brantford. They got the highway completely closed so they could do it! I’m not talking a little two lane highway, I’m talking the frickin’ 403! They turn school buses over and set them on fire. They drop objects on cars from overpasses. They have terrorized people to the point that an elderly man had a heart attack and passed away on the spot. This seems to be perfectly fine with our politicians.....but they draw the line when it comes to the backbone of the country, the blue collar men and women who make the country work.
Absolutely understand that. We had the DAPL pipeline protests to deal with here several years ago. Nasty, nasty piece of business, that.
The rest of the Convoy isn’t the problem - it’s the bridge to the US. That invited Biden et al into your internal issues.
And now, here we are. Your PM may be bluffing, we shall see. But Brandon and his minions are not, unfortunately.
“Did it have something to do with clearing your cookies the last time?”
I don’t recall that I did anything in particular. I am not even sure where to go to clean the cookies and can I just clean the one for Twitter?
LOLOL! I post from my laptop, otherwise I would send you a laughing emoji with tears. ;)
