Many have cast doubt on her Covid explanation. Vegas journalist Scott Roeben, who broke the story of her residency, claimed she was insisting on tearing out the sound system at Caesar's Colosseum theater and installing her own.
'Apparently, Adele and her team refused to use the house equipment in The Colosseum,' said Roeben.
'The theatre has a massive video screen, very high tech, but Adele's team insisted upon an entirely new system – a larger screen, essentially built a few inches in front of the existing screen.
'Such demands not only drive up production costs but, at a time when supplies are disrupted, it's a recipe for disaster – in this case last-minute delays or cancellations.
'I also hear from a source that Caesars had to replace the cutting edge Meyer sound system and replace it with a different system for her.'

Sorry, but after really trying to see some reason to appreciate her, but the big players sound like a McIntosh system. She sounds like a GM car stereo.
Why does she even need a big, glitzy stage set-up? As far as I am aware, she doesn’t dance or have back-up dancers and she doesn’t change costumes. She is more of a Frank Sinatra or Tony Bennett type of singer, not Beyonce or Madonna.

because it is a Vegas show. People are paying big bucks..they want a spectacle. I suspect there was a lot of push back by Caesars etc to put on a show and she just wanted to stand and sing like at the Oprah gig

Say what you will, was he a drug addict, a middle-class suburbanite pulling in good money or a guy with no job standing in the freezing cold looking for some help.

She is screwing up what is supposed to be the start of her residency in Las Vegas. Even when/if she gets back on track, this will serve as a warning for other prime level entertainment venues in that town.
Some of this may come down to Adele gets very nervous singing live in front of a big audience.
The solution then, is to stop booking those kinds of performances. Duh! Now, she has earned herself a barge full of bad will from customers who have lost time and money.
No amount of televised ‘crying’ from the performer is going to change that.

I think somewhere in her mind she will always be the fat little girl whose dad didn’t love her and abandoned her...no matter how many mansions she buys in California.
I watched the Oprah gig. Adele claims she is in a good space mentally blah blah blah. I dont believe it.
Scars run deep and no matter how hard you try they can rip open in unexpected ways.
This gig was a fabulous opportunity for her to continue a legacy and make a fortune for her son. She has blown it.
