Went to my bank 2 weeks ago. In their new list posted of days closed in 2022 they had Indigenous Peoples Day,
I told them how insulted I was by this naming and the Least they could do is have both names on the day.
The manager was surprised.
And last week they changed it.
Said I was the only person to complain. But I made sense.
So Kick Up a Fuss!
I was just in a store and saw the headline that said that a local town is making the process easier for restaurants to expand outdoor dining.
My first thought was, in what perverse universe is that any town’s business??
I’m guessing the Italian presence is stronger in New London:

If my Cherokee great grandmother were still here I could ask her. She never got to vote, not considered fully human.
Indigenous People. Do they mean the ones that migrated over the Bering Strait to the Anasazi lands?
I have no idea. Not Columbus.
Absolutely!
Without Memorial Day and Labor Day, New England wouldn't know when summer begins and ends...
