The number of people who got on has nothing to do with the answer. They want to know how many people were on the train ‘to begin with’.

That answer is simply 63 + 19, which I hope is 82.

The math is simple. However, to begin with, there were zero people on the train. The first people likely to get on the train were the engineer and the crew.

The answer is clearly 19, but many people will answer 25.
