NICOLAS Cage and fifth wife Riko Shibata have revealed they are expecting a baby.
It will be the Hollywood star's third child after sons Ka-El Coppola, 16, and Weston Coppola, 31, from previous relationships.
"The parents-to-be are elated!" the actor's rep said.
Nicolas, 57, tied the knot with Riko on on February 16, 2021 in a "very small and intimate wedding at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas," according to a rep for Cage.
The date was chosen as it was special to Nic - it was his late father, August Coppola's, birthday.
"It's true, and we are very happy," Nic told PEOPLE in a statement at the time.
Riko is 27, four years younger than Nicolas' eldest son. The pair has not made a statement yet.
NICOLAS AND RIKO'S LOVE The starry-eyed couple met in Shiga, Japan, in 2020 through mutual friends.
The actor was there filming the movie Prisoners of the Ghostland.
They made their magazine cover debut as a couple when they posed for FLAUNT in October 2021.
The next month, the pair walked the red carpet at the 2021 GQ Men of the Year party in West Hollywood, California.
Riko is also an actress, and the pair made their official red carpet debut in July 2021 at the premiere of Cage's film Pig.
Nic announced the engagement on his brother Marc Coppola's radio show in 2020, after Riko had just visited New York with him.
“She left New York and went back to Kyoto, Japan, and I went back to Nevada and I haven't seen her for six months," he said.
“We're really happy together and we're really excited to spend that time together so I finally just said 'Look, I wanna marry you' and we got engaged on FaceTime."

I have enjoyed many of the movies that Cage has been in. I don’t have any real problem with his new bride or their expected progeny. It does illustrate something about the way the Hollywood crowd lives, in whatever way that matters. If they were not such a preachy bunch letting all the rest of us know how we are supposed to live our lives, it would not matter at all.

Now the question is, what *does* “Ka-El” mean? Only thing I found in a quick search was a Pokémon reference.
“Raising Arizona” is Cage’s best movie - great script and Cage played the character perfectly with Holly Hunter.
IIRC, it was the first or second film by the Coen brothers.

Good for you. My wife is 4 years older than I am, but she is extremely well preserved; most people assume that I am older than she is. The major issue with people like Cage marrying someone 30 years younger than he, on his 5th try is that there are major generational issues. A person who is 27 and from a foreign country simply looks at the world much differently than a 57 year old born with a silver spoon who graduated from Beverly Hills High School. Cage performed in Raising Arizona 7 years before his new wife was even born. It may last if she is an extraordinary person and they are very lucky. Given Cage’s track record it’s going to be tough. Just 20 years from now she will be 47 and likely still very active he will be 77 and likely slowing down. They will almost certainly have very different needs and preferences.
Cage is a BIG Superman fan...came close to playing the Man of Steel as part of a Tim Burton project once upon a time. Thankfully, the film was abandoned. (There is a pic of Cage in the costume out there somewhere...)
I loved Cain as Uncle Garth in “Secondhand Lions.”
That film has a really cool end-of-film reveal.
You might even cry.
