My work just sent out a memo that if you're not vaccinated you MUST wear a mask at all times. Period----at my desk, in the yard, the shop all day long. I asked if I could come in on off days, work from home, etc and he called back and said "no". I told him I will take off tomorrow and Friday (our days in the office) to think about it. I told him about my allergies...he didn't care. They know I had covid and I sent numerous studies---they didn't care. He actually laughed when I asked what the end game is and when he gets covid and is where I am today. Also, I have mentioned of being harrassed in the office because I'm not vaxxed....He said "that's not right and shouldn't happen" but he seem to not care much.
The irony, out of the 8 salespeople in the office, 6 are out with Covid and all of them have been vaccinated. I am 1 of 2 that's not vaxxed but had Covid and willing to come in "unmasked"---he didn't care for that comment either.
They won't give me a timeframe and I'm really fed up with this "woke" crap. It's been happening here since the vaccines rolled out.
Here's a bit of information---I have been there 35 years, always #1 or #2 in sales. The place is kind of a sucky place to work, but the money is pretty darn good---when you sell. Would you die on this hill? I'm about to.....

Why should he do that?
If you’re a good salesman, you would be good anywhere.
Update your resume and start looking.
I’m presuming you have invested your money wisely so finances are not an issue.
How old are you? Is retirement on the table?
Wear the mask while secretly looking for another job. Being a good salesperson, he needs you more than you need him. Sales is a tough and important vocation. If you can prove you’re good in sales to another employer, you’d be worth your weight in gold. When you get your new job, tell this ass to F’off.
Cut holes in the folds of your mask and take their money. This may blow over faster than you think.
35 years? When were you planning on retiring? Or were you? To be honest, it sounds like they are using this as a lame excuse to push the “old guy” out. Were it me, I would get a few of these - https://fakemaskworldwide.com/the-double-incognito-fake-mask/ - and be a pain in the ass till they finally have to force you out with a golden parachute, or a pending lawsuit....
I agree; I’m required to wear a mask instead of accept the needles, and feel lucky. Just don’t get the N-95 masks, as they are uncomfortable (they actually work).
I’m 54-—I could “retire” but I would have to move. I’m in Eastern PA, if the property taxes weren’t so high I’d flip ‘em the bird and move on. But I don’t feel like moving right now-—However, moving has been on the table since 2020.
Who accepts the risk of permanent side effects of the vaccine?
Do you have to be vaccinated or show a card that you have been?
Mask, vax, or quit.
At least you have the mask option.
Not being fundamentally anti-vax (and already being on blood thinners, mitigating risk), I reluctantly went with vax. The pay is good, the age is advancing. That paper, however, is between me & employer - gov’t “papers please” will be addressed differently.
You have to know, yourself, whether it’s “the hill”.
There are no “vaccines” available, none of the shots available keep you from getting the Fauci/China virus and they may lead to really bad health consequences.
Let’s see, play Russian Roulette with eldercide jabs? Or wear a new and innovative mask designs with breath-rite strips? No brainer!
LOL-—I’m one of the younger guys. There’s someone that’s 48 and all the rest of my co-workers are in their 60’s to early 70’s!
“If you don’t resist now, your surrender will likely be permanent.”
The only time surrender is permanent is when you take your last breath. Sometimes a tactical retreat is the wisest move. I’d advise wearing the mask.
Why quit? Why not make them fire you, and take responsibility for it.
3: It will provide additional immunity
4: It is a one time minor inconvenience vs wearing a mask 8 hours a day
How do you get “additional” immunity? You’re either immune or you’re not. Yes, I know it’s a slim chance of getting Covid again and could happen, but the Israel study shows only a slight increase in immunity. Almost negligible.
You know, our office added the requirement that you MUST be boosted in the past month to NOT have to wear a mask. So, I could comply and still be out of compliance wearing a mask again.
