The wide receiver left following an outburst on the sideline
Antonio Brown has left the building.
In one of the strangest moments of the NFL season, the Buccaneers wide receiver abruptly removed his shoulder pads and undershirt and jogged to the locker room at MetLife Stadium during the third quarter of Tampa Bay's Week 17 matchup with the New York Jets.
Here's video of the scene, which shows Brown stripping off his pads, throwing his undershirt and gloves into the stands, and running toward the locker room in the middle of the game while the Bucs were on offense.
Brown, who had three catches for 26 yards on five targets at the time, apparently "boiled over" and was "very upset" on the sideline, according to FOX sideline reporter Jen Hale.
Hale reported that Mike Evans and O.J. Howard tried to convince Brown to keep his shoulder pads on before he made his sudden exit. Here's another angle of the incident filmed by a fan in the stands.
It appears head coach Bruce Arians benched Brown, which led to the former New England Patriots wide receiver's outburst.
We'll update this article with more information as it becomes available.
The guy is objectively insane.
All he had to do was practice 3 more days with the Raiders and he had 25 million guaranteed....
He was released due to not practicing and he rejoiced and lost 25 million.
Same thing yesterday. He had 1 million in bonuses if he gets another 8 catches and 53 yards of receiving.
He quits. Also, people were estimating he get between 10-12 million in FA next year. He was clearly TBs best WR this year.
Yeah, he really isn’t fond of his face cause he sure does cut his nose off. Very odd all around.
Somebody else posited that. Could be. He was a bit of diva before then, but not odd. Now he’s odd.
I feel great. You are the pos
All you got now is insults. You can’t even be bothered to say what you’re mad about. So I’ll let you have the last word. I’m sure it’ll be calling me a pos or something equally fake tough. Have fun.

Yeah, the 1970s Raiders were the last stop for misfits, malcontents, and your basic nutjobs - John Matuszak, Lyle Alzado, Ted Hendricks come to mind. And Otis Sistrunk who played football at the University of Mars lol. But they were indeed good football players and won a championship or two.
During a Monday Night Football telecast, a television camera beamed a sideline shot of the 6’5”, 265-pound Sistrunk’s steaming bald head to the nation. That, along with the Raiders’ listing of his educational background in the team program as “U.S. Mars” (shorthand for United States Marine Corps), prompted ABC commentator and ex-NFL player Alex Karras to suggest that the extraterrestrial-looking Sistrunk’s alma mater was the “University of Mars.”
I believe Tomlin is a very good coach and many teams around the league - in New York, in Chicago, in Houston, in Jax - would love to have him. He's been saddled with a fading Roethlisberger the last several seasons and not much else on offense. But even with that the Steelers started 11 - 0 last season. The team is at a crossroads, one era ending and the parts not in place (i don't think Mason Rudolph is the answer at QB for instance) to start the next one. Add to this the ascendancy of the Bengals under Burrow and I think Pittsburgh is in for a couple of lean years.
I didn't know he had stepped into that position too! LOL!
Ray Rhodes, Romeo Crennel, Anthony Lynn to name three.... the hiring and firing of black coaches is no longer a big deal (except to media talking heads).
Jack Tatum!
LOL! I knew I could count on you. Thanks!
The Assassin. What he did to Darryl Stingley was a clean hit but damn. You can't tell me Tatum didn't have anger issues. Maybe all players on the defensive side of the ball do.
And to think that George Blanda was 9 years older than Madden when Madden coached the Raiders.
It's a travesty that Cliff Branch isn't in the HOF.
But of course nick you are a racial idealist I am a racial realist
No white player can disparage a black player freely
He’ll endure a peculiar wrath
Not to mention the slings and arrows of a woke sports media
Same media that slobbers over kapernicks lofty intellect
Jim, is it blind father, or blind mother?
Got another good to great RB. The defense is looking solid. But yeah, finding a new QB is a challenge. Steelers went the whole 80s and 90s without. There’s a reason so few coaches have won SBs with 2 different QBs, finding 1 in 1 in career is a stroke of luck, 2 is winning the lottery.
Oh come on, what do you mean Bubby Brister didn’t make it to Canton?
