As for Black coaches getting fired, happens all the time, it’s not a 3rd rail. Ray Rhodes, Romeo Crennel, Anthony Lynn to name three.... the hiring and firing of black coaches is no longer a big deal (except to media talking heads).

Yeah, Lovie Smith twice. Tony Dungy. Marvin Lewis. Jim Caldwell twice. I was never impressed by Caldwell but I think the Lions made a mistake there, as unimpressive as he is he’s got their best coaching record in the last 25 years.
