We are prepared, Sissy!
We have wood heat if the power quits.
We are also stocked up on essentials
like lotsa good food!
The freezers are full, and the pantry is well stocked!
Thank you for thinking of us!

Wow, I didn't realize that that was your photo!
I understand about ferals. We had a looney bird dog when we lived in the desert (rescued from family member who could no longer care for him), and he was fond of kittens and used to point at them for long periods of time. Apparently, the kittens may have imprinted him as their nanny or something, and one of them kept coming closer and closer to the fence that separated the veggie garden from the doggie area. Worried that both of the kittens might wander out of the garden area (bad neighborhood with pit bulls running loose), I trapped them. One of them passed within two months of my husband's passing, and the other is now fifteen years old and still with me. She is what helps people to understand why one should not attempt to adopt wild animals, lol!

To me, knowledge is a continuum. We learn, we create, we pass on the knowledge. That’s what connects us to history and to the future.

Oh no, looks like a bad storm. 😕

I have the pot of grapefruit and lemon peels simmering now. The trick is to never lift the lid for the 3 hours of simmering. Have to leave the lid on until it cools off.
I liked one video in particular, for its hostess and her clarity in directions.
YouTube channel “Mama natural and beyond” and video is called “Home recipe for hydroxycloroquine”.
I’m going to freeze a lot of it in ice cube trays so it keeps a long time. One YouTuber said it can spoil in a week in the fridge. Was too much effort to get the supplies to waste any of it.
One video said take a tablespoon per hour when sick. I guess I feel OK today but still will take this stuff for a few days to chase away the last germs.
The lemons and grapefruit smell wonderfully fresh. I ate 2 of the grapefruits after peeling. Yummy!

You are welcome to it. They’re little sweeties. They have all been neutered and their ears notched to show they have an owner. I also have my gingers...Peaches and Ginger... who live indoors.

I always think of you, Sis! Glad to hear that you are good and ready for what’s coming. You usually are. Thank God for that trusty wood-burning stove. It’s a life saver for sure!

I just helped my nephew move...two trips with two trucks 20 miles each way, loading and unloading in 20 degree cold, in the dark.
I am TIRED.

Oh wow, cold and dark! I never helped anyone move in cold weather, or darkness. Not fun. When I was a lot younger more people I knew moved around and my family has delivery vans, so we were asked to help them move. My nephew and his wife are looking for their first house, so I hope to help them this year. They are tired of renting.
Get some rest tonight and warm up
🙂

I guess I’m going to have to look up that stuff and see why grapefruit and lemon peels will create it! It’s a puzzle to me. LOL!

Mine is almost cooled off enough to strain the peels from the water. Never made a home remedy like that before. The hubby thinks it’s weird and I won’t even bother to ask him to try some. No way would he do that. I can barely get him to drink orange juice.
Have a good night!

Had my first tablespoon of the citrus peel concoction, mixed it with a little orange juice. I measured out one tablespoon to each compartment of 2 ice cube trays to freeze, and have enough left in the fridge to use for a few days. Might take 4 tablespoons in a day. Took it an hour ago and it hasn’t killed me yet! Ha Ha. 😅

January 27, 2022Not Holding Grudges
Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:18
During a promotional event in 2011, two seventy-three-year-old former Canadian Football League players got into a fistfight on stage. They had a “beef” (a grudge or feud) dating back to a controversial championship football game in 1963. After one man knocked the other off the stage, the crowd called out to him to “let it go!” They were telling him to “squash the beef.”
The Bible contains many examples of people “beefing.” Cain held a grudge against his brother Abel because God accepted Abel’s offering over his (Genesis 4:4–5). This grudge was so severe that it eventually led to murder as “Cain attacked his brother . . . and killed him” (v. 8). “Esau held a grudge against Jacob” because Jacob stole the birthright that was rightfully his (27:41). This grudge was so intense that it caused Jacob to run for his life in fear.
Not only does the Bible give us several examples of people who held grudges, but it also instructs us on how to “squash the beef”—how to seek forgiveness and reconciliation. God calls us to love others (Leviticus 19:18), pray for and forgive those who insult and injure us (Matthew 5:43–47), live peaceably with all people, leave revenge to God, and overcome evil with good (Romans 12:18–21). By His power, may we “squash the beef” today. — Marvin Williams
Why is it vital for us to not hold grudges? How will you work to restore a broken or damaged relationship this week?
Jesus, thank You that I can forgive others because You’ve forgiven me.

We have a lot of winter beauty here. ❄️❄️❄️
Warm and sunny today, finally can go see the horse and take a ride.
🐴😀
Took a couple tablespoon doses of the citrus peel solution today.
Works good to put orange juice in it.
Yesterday was the first day I didn’t need a nap, so that is a good sign.
