I’m aware there are no McConnell fans on the TFT. However, that speech he gave on the Senate floor today took a baseball bat to Joe Biden’s testicles for a solid nine minutes and was an absolute work of art.

Going with the maxim about a stopped clock being right twice a day, I am fangirling Mitch for at least until midnight tonight.

Thanks, Jem. I just ordered the little dissolvable tablets from Amazon. I am determined not to visit the doctor or hospital in Ontario unless absolutely necessary. They’re nuts up here. I’m one of the unvaxxed pagans and they’re just as apt to throw me into some camp as not, or at least put a red flag by my name.

I’ll just gobble down the tablets like candy and see what happens.

Have you tried 3 or 5 mg of Melatonin?

I can’t take over 5, but, if I get desperate enough for good sleep, I’ll take it.

If I am having trouble sleeping, I sometimes take a half of a Benadryl.

And, I also take Magnesium EVERY night.....good for a lot of different things....relaxing being a great side benefit.

My problem isn’t not being able to sleep. Heck, I could sleep standing up. My problem is that my full bladder wakes me up 4 or 5 times a night. I can get back to sleep easily.

I’ve reduced liquids after 4, etc. I think I’m just going to have to accept that this is my life now - and consider it exercise.

I was checked for diabetes about and year ago and was fine. I drink one coffee in the morning, and I may have the odd cup of tea in the afternoon, but not very often. I don’t drink any soda - well maybe in the summer I’ll have a gin and tonic (just for the quinine, of course).

I’m not really thirsty a lot - probably don’t drink enough water.

Now one thing I have done is stopped taking my thyroid stuff about 2 months ago. Honestly I didn’t feel it was doing anything for me, and I don’t like taking anything if I don’t have to. I may start taking it again to see if I feel a little more energetic. It’s only 50 mg. daily, so not a high dose anyway.
