"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.
The choice is yours, and yours alone.
Trust and put faith in yourself.
You are not alone and you are not in the minority.

Many people react to artificial fragrances which are in themselves toxic. I did a bunch of research years ago about flu, and found out that rubbing the hands under cold water for 1 minute gets rid of as much bacteria and viruses as any other method. All gone. Or 1/2 minute with soap and warm water. Hand sanitizer is not only a scam, it’s health damaging. All that alcohol absorbs into the skin and is not healthy, what to speak of the other ingredients. And many were found to contain benzene.
Haha! That’s good. And he shall remain a boy if his mother is his best friend. Is that Anthony Perkins from Psycho? I really need to watch more movies so I’m not so cinematically clueless.
Far be it from me to enter into a discussion where I have no skin in the game, as I have no offspring. But I want to thank you all for your insights, as they have helped me to better understand the root causes of some of the disfunctionality I experienced in my early life.
I’m so happy to “hear” you say that about hand sanitizer since I eschew it as well. Some establishments (dentist) force you to use it to get into the office so I pretend to squirt some into my hand and rub nothing vigorously into my palms. Frequent hand washing and keeping my hands off my face has worked all of my life so far. I’m with genetic homophobe on this.

I wash my hands whenever I need to which is a lot. If/when I go out and about, I bring my own hand sanitizer which I make with home made neem tea, white vinegar and essential oils. Smells nice and is non-toxic. When I get home from the outside world I generally take a shower and do neti. And this was my habit before covid. Hasn’t changed. I also like to grab a plastic bag when shopping and wrap around the cart handle. Hate to touch those nasty things.
Yikes! That has to be a feral! Something similar to that happened when I lived briefly in an 8th story apartment with a balcony facing the street. Somehow a feral cat got onto my balcony - I suspect he just scaled the outer walls and balconies to wind up in mine when he could go no further. I opened the sliding door to investigate the intruder, and he came charging inside. My own cats all ran for the bunkers in terror. After running around trying in vain to corner or trap him for probably 5 minutes (that seemed like an eternity), I opened my door to the hallway and stairwell, and he eventually found his way out. Whew! But I did not have any physical contact with him, fortunately.

I never quite understood until he did die. WW2 Combat Vet - died at age 64. I’ve out lived him by 8 years so far.
What I found going through the fabric of our lives was, I always deferred to him.
