I’m so happy to “hear” you say that about hand sanitizer since I eschew it as well. Some establishments (dentist) force you to use it to get into the office so I pretend to squirt some into my hand and rub nothing vigorously into my palms. Frequent hand washing and keeping my hands off my face has worked all of my life so far. I’m with genetic homophobe on this.
I wash my hands whenever I need to which is a lot. If/when I go out and about, I bring my own hand sanitizer which I make with home made neem tea, white vinegar and essential oils. Smells nice and is non-toxic. When I get home from the outside world I generally take a shower and do neti. And this was my habit before covid. Hasn’t changed. I also like to grab a plastic bag when shopping and wrap around the cart handle. Hate to touch those nasty things.
