I arrived at MSY last night, and listening to 1150 AM WJBO in Baton Rouge now. Just heard a rather profound and sincere apology / clarification from someone involved in the Salvation Army regarding their anti-white nonsense.
On a scale of 1 to 10 as far as how well he addressed the wrongs of that racist bullshite, I would rate it a 6 at best. I am not asking anyone to change their minds, but wanted to know if y'all heard it?
I am waiting for them to announce they have eliminated their Grand Poobah of Diversity and Inclusion before I drop another buck in the bucket, but the apology was a step in that direction.
I heard it on WERC FM 105.5 in Birmingham, AL, this afternoon. Agree with JPinLondon's reaction.
We get plenty of snail mail solicitations from the SA every year because we have donated in the past. Yesterday they left a voice mail. A very sweet white woman thanked us for our past donations and expressed the hope that we would continue. First time we ever got a phone call from the SA.
Colonels Janet and Richard Munn, directors of The Salvation Army International Social Justice Commission
The International Social Justice Commission (ISJC) is The Salvation Army’s strategic voice to advocate for human dignity and social justice with the world’s poor and oppressed. We are part of The Salvation Army’s International Headquarters and our office is based in New York City.
WHY WE SEEK JUSTICE
To promote a vision of justice based on the life and teaching of Jesus Christ.
To advocate and advise on social, economic, political issues and events which lead to the perpetuation of injustice in the world.
To amplify the voices of poor, marginalized and oppressed people and translate their real life insights into policies, practices and life-giving opportunities. COMMUNICATION: By various means of communication, the ISJC will broadcast the plans, goals and practices relative to ISJC mission, values and progress, with a particular emphasis on the use of social media.
ADVOCACY: The ISJC will actively partner with others (including the United Nations) in the pursuit of justice, with the intention of effecting changes in policies, attitudes, and behaviours.
RESEARCH: The ISJC will investigate issues and questions, providing tools for measuring and documenting social justice.
EDUCATION: The ISJC will produce resources to inform and equip others with knowledge to seek justice together.

The wokesters have ruthlessly cancelled conservatives.
The only way to end their reign-of-terror is to ruthlessly cancel them.
No quarter.
I wonder how much money they lost this year? Must have been a large number.
This is great news because it shows people can make a difference when they refuse to take crud like the SA put out.
My answer:
No heads rolling, no glory.
Also-—TV ads.
I would have to think it has been a considerable loss. Broadly and generally speaking, I would bet their typical donors are white, and have some Christian sense of charity, IOW, skew conservative.
Any Organization that partners with the U.N. isn’t getting any money from me.
This is the first year I didn’t write a check or put money in a red kettle. Most years I did both.
I kind of feel bad about it because I think they do help people in need. If they fire the asshats who started the mess I’ll think again.
Did the ad mention Janet and Richard getting booted out?
.
I guess it depends on how many Americans are following this all that closely. FR does not represent the pulse of America. If it did, we would have far fewer DEMs in positions of power. For the most part, Americans are oblivious to much of what the country is going through right now. Inflation is about the only thing that hits home for many.
Salvation Army’s Woke Descent Hurts Those It Serves
We’re sorry if you were offended?
I agree totally.
Generally WOKE apologies are “sorry you were offended” or “sorry it was misunderstood” as opposed to “it was a mistake asking you to apologize, most of you have nothing to apologize for”.
There are no red buckets or Santa’s in front of my grocery store this year. I guess they gave up.
Adding a 2nd “S” to their collar badges would seem to be appropriate.
In recent years, I could never afford more than a few bucks to toss in the kettle. This year, it’s all going to a local independent animal shelter.
No
Screw the Salvation Army.
