Does anyone know of a good, spray type insecticide I can use in my Grapefruit tree? The tree is about a year old and I tried Cisco's Neem oil and it just don't work!
DAWN dish soap in about a half cup to a gallon sprayed liberally...................
try diatomaceous earth and/or borax. both harmless (I consume both) but both work well against pests.

If your grapefruit are for personal consumption...I envy you. I can’t eat it because of meds. I miss it.
I agree with that, also add some Listerine to the mix, the original.
First thing to do is to just spray the tree with water and get underneath the leaves.
Just doing that alone will keep the numbers down as they don’t like water.
Second, make your own Insecticidal Soap. It’s really easy. I mix 3 Tablespoons of Dish Soap and 3 Tablespoons of Olive Oil per Gallon of water. Get one of those pump up sprayers that holds over a gallon and spray away.
NO need to go out a purchase the pre mixed stuff…. Just make it.

I usually use a 50/50 mix of isopropyl alcohol, along with some mouthwash, in a spray bottle. The alcohol supposedly dissolves them, and aids in drying the leaves quickly.
The mouthwash also contains some alcohol, and leaves a sticky residue to protect the leaves for a while. You’ll eventually have to re-apply.

Apparently not even food grade diatomaceous earth is meant for humans to ingest. But it is bad for bugs.
