“let it go. he’s dead, Jim”
The 1968 House Select Committee on Assinations concluded that the JFK assination was a conspiracy.
The JFK Assassination Dissected: An Analysis by Forensic Pathologist Cyril Wecht Paperback – November 8, 2021

We just got that book. We also got the new RFK Jr book about Fauci. And the new ALex Berenson book about the Pandemic. Gonna be a long cold winter, might as well read!
We have discovered, if we didn’t already know, that the government LIES to us all the time.

Both Arlen Specter and Gerald Ford were on the Warren Commission. Can one argue that they both did not greatly benefit from that service?!
The single bullet theory blows the whole Warren Commission Report right out of the water.
Zapruder’s film has a pause in it. Holland believes the first shot took place just at, or just during, that pause.
Major to his thesis is that all who have investigated with Zapruder’s film have assumed it records all three shots after the pause.
He concludes that the first shot was taken at the most opportune time proximally, but glanced off the stoplight apparatus and was deflected into the underpass region where and individual suffered a nick from debris.
Shooter had to pause while presidential vehicle was behind obstructing tree. Then two more shots resulting in death and injury.
For the record I hold to Oswald as the assassin acting on his own. The conspiracy notions have been fed by a lack of certainty on the forensic side. I won’t fault those who accept those notions, but would urge caution insofar as self-deception is not uncommon.
“...the Nix film is nearly as important as the Zapruder film”
Film from a different angle, never released? While I hate to promote my own comments, .... it [Nix film] may substantiate the Menninger analysis. See my comments 14 and 20 in this thread.
Good points. I would only mention that Holland places the first shot earlier than those who depend solely on Zapruder, and that Oswald, being human, may have paused beyond the most opportune window of efficacy.
After reading about 25 books on JFK’s murder it was not an SS agent in the car.
Dylan wrote in a song, “ Smoke pouring out of a boxcar door” referring to the men questioned from behind the grassy knoll.
His murder was no accident.
Did you read the Menninger book? If “yes” what were its flaws?
I agree that Secret Service accidental-shooting theory explains some otherwise unexplainable things. However, is there an explanation for why when the accidental shot came from behind that the large piece of Kennedy’s skull flew backwards onto the trunk lid of the limo? Seems far more consistent with a shot coming from the front.
Ive read that the zapgruder film was edited and the edited version has the car in motion from start to finish.
The real version has the car stopping, then the rifles firing
1968 House Select Committee on Assassination concluded a conspiracy.
I believe it was a hit ordered by Lyndon Johnson. He managed to lure Kennedy into the Kill Zone under the pretense of Texas being a contested State. It was the only way Johnson could ever become President.
Their basis for doing so is not unassailable. Holland’s presentation touches on that.
My understanding is that the bullets ended up in the front seat area. Without evidence of ricochet, could not come from front/face side shot.
You hurt the ones that I love best
And cover up the truth with lies
One day you’ll be in the ditch
Flies buzzin’ around your eyes
Blood on your saddle
the author says the zapruder film is a rohrsach test subject to misinterpretation, but then assumes that the film itself is not altered.

I hold as plausible that Zapruder made a pause in the interest of preserving a limited amount of footage available; that he wanted the subject closer before committing.
It’s easy to fabricate conspiracies and believe them. A forensic analysis of the original film would easily prove an edit to be true or false, but who would trust even that if it can only be reported by others and not shown directly?
It’s painful to watch because the lecturer is a boring speaker, makes frequent 5-second pauses, and is monotone to boot, so unless you enjoy squirting lemon juice in your eyes, you’d probably prefer the Cliff Notes version, and this is it.
The speaker takes 40 minutes of irrelevant details to get to the point that despite Zapruder’s claim that he got the entire Kennedy assassination sequence of events on film, there is credible evidence that he didn’t start filming until some seconds after the first shot was fired.
And since the Zapruder film was used (errantly?) as the gold standard for establishing the precise timeline of events in every official investigation, they all also assumed that the first shot was fired some time after the first frame of that segment of film. Which calls to question their conclusions about where the presidential limousine was when the first shot was fired, which muddies all the ballistic investigations concerning where the bullet from the first shot might have ended up.
He does cite some evidence that the first shot (if fired before Zapruder began filming) might have gone wide of the mark before ricocheting off the curbing well down the road and just before the overpass, then grazing the cheek of a spectator standing at the entrance of the underpass.
Which lines up with his presumption that Oswald might have fired just after the presidential limousine passed under a stoplight that was closer to the corner coming off Houston street than any of the official investigations considered. And the shot might have struck a glancing blow off the armature from which the stoplight hung at that corner (which at that instant entered Oswald’s line of fire). This would explain why Oswald managed to hit a man-sized target with two of his shots but didn’t even manage to hit a 20-foot long car with the third, and why no one previously had considered the possibility that the divot in the curb and the cut on the spectator’s cheek might have come from Oswald’s missing bullet.
I also note that the speaker displays a very limited knowledge of firearms and tosses in some ancillary details (RE: Oswald’s Marine marksmanship training and ejection patterns of bolt action rifles) for which there is absolutely NO supporting evidence, yet he states them as indisputable fact.
This is the theory that makes the most sense to me. Hung over SS agent with his booger hook on the bang switch.
