Don’t put me on the jury. I can’t abide someone killing a pregnant woman. Like most things in life, confrontations can be avoided. So she hit the motorcycle. He could follow her home and wait some distance away for police to arrive. It’s not like she is going to escape.

According to police, Morales (the woman) went inside, returned with a gun and a confrontation occurred in the road.

Ah, the voice of sanity in a world gone insane.

Yes but then she pulled out a gun and aimed it at them and all bets were off.

Her coming outside wasn’t too smart. It could be considered threatening.

Did she call the police on the way home? Drive away from her home so the guy following her wouldn’t know where she lived? Did she feel physically threatened or just threatened financially? No insurance? Did she call the police and stay safely in the house when he was outside? A tough one. Seems like two hot heads.

Unless I missed it, I didn’t see how far along she was.

If she was 8 months along, I have difficulty visualizing how someone could shoot her, although having a gun pointed at you would likely have a bearing on it.

But if she was two or three months along, she might not show.

I get the distinct impression the media source included that to make it more salacious or damning.

It sounds like that was exactly what he was doing. Then she came out with a gun.

Yeah. I think cyclist is hosed but he shouldn’t be.
I would vote not guilty, simply because she could avoided trouble by staying in the house, but I am a well known lunatic.

My thoughts,too.

Even if it's self defense, the guy has the death of a pregnant woman on his conscience.

And, no doubt, there will be legal fees and a civil suit.

And so much, these days, depends on the color of your skin.

Why take a chance?

“confrontations can be avoided”

If she felt threaten, she could have stay in the house and call the police. The Motorcyclist stayed in the road according to the reports. She went out to the road with a gun to confront him.

“So she hit the motorcycle.”

So she hit the motorcycle....this is not a small thing like a fender bender in a parking lot. Car drivers, many times, don’t realize that a “love tap” from a car to a motorcycle is very deadly. The motorcyclist is lucky to be alive.

I wonder if she’s guilty of any past hit a runs. From her behavior I’d say she likely has.

IF she hit the motorcylist, that is a crime....then this crime was compounded by the motorcylist following and forcing a confrontation with the woman...at her home...

he should have never went to her home...he could have stayed a few hundred feet away....he had already called the cops....

if strange men drove up to my house, I'd retrieve a gun too.....

Go away, Snowflake. Idiots like you are the biggest and worst threat to this nation.

The law doesn’t give two sh!ts about your personal feelings, opinions oriases. The motorcyclist did not violate any laws, rather it was the dead, pregnant, psycho b!tch that violated several laws, including attempted vehicular manslaughter / murder.

Facts and the law outweigh your selfish and idiotic emotions and feelings. You are unqualified and too stupid to sit on a jury.

Webheart, was she visibly pregnant?
Would it make a difference in your thinking?
At least you admit your own bias.

If he had a red cape and a big “S” on his chest, he could out run/dodge a speeding bullet. But that wasn’t the case here. She brought a gun into a confrontation. Now if she survived but her baby died because of her recklessness, now that’d be an interesting case. Would/could she be charged with homicide of her baby?

So, you didn’t bother reading the article.

That’s *exactly* what the motorcyclist did. She came out with a gun and attacked him with the gun. What’s the motorcyclist supposed to do, sit there and die rather than defend themselves?

Very poor judgement on this pregnant Karen’s part. She was home and ‘safe’ - she could have called the police and waited for them to come. Instead she grabbed her gun and went to confront someone not on her property and got what she asked for.
