The Daily Beast highlighted what appears to be a recording of a phone call between former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn and controversial right-wing lawyer Lin Wood, in which Wood asks Mike Flynn to call off "Q-Anon guys" who he says are "attacking" him.
"I think it’s a disinformation campaign," Flynn said about QAnon. "I think it’s a disinformation campaign that the CIA created. That’s what I believe. Now, I don’t know that for a fact, but that’s what I think it is. I think it’s a disinformation campaign."
"I find it total nonsense," Flynn said. "And I think it’s a disinformation campaign created by the left."
"I'm aware the CIA does programs where they'll tell you 75% of the truth and wrap it in a package that makes it look crazy, to demean the truth... I've assumed that QAnon, when it started, may have been a white hat operation that got, in effect, kidnapped by the black hats... What Q stood for initially, I've always believed," Lin Wood said in response.

Many believers are still here.
Unfortunately…
I’ve been saying that for a couple years now.
This itself is pys-ops.
Remember that Flynn’s background is military intelligence.
I believe in that 17th letter!!
(Prays to homemade shrine in corner of bedroom)
That is the sanest explanation I have heard, to date.
That’s always been my stance on it. Like Flynn says: It might have been a sincere effort at first but it turned into pure dee old BS really fast. I always felt it was something to make DT look bad. And yes, it does seem that some rogue intelligence operation is involved.
For the LULz, you know.
I doubt it started as something sincere....QAnon pushed the “trust Sessions” nonsense as Sessions ran out the clock on Trump and could have ended Trump/Russia collusion in his first few months.
QAnon was meant to prolong the agony the left were inflicting upon the Trump Administration.
True.
You’re right: It probably WASN’T sincere but a lot of sincere people take it seriously. Haha, you should visit that anti-scientology site “Underground Bunker” that guy has so much stuff on “Q” you will read for hours. He clearly hates the GOP and DT, but it’s very thorough, comprehensive, well-researched, etc.
I have some personal reasons for ire against “Q” that I’m not gonna go into here, but yes: Q is Bu11sh1t. I feel sorry for the nice people who still take it seriously.
There is Q, and there are Anons. There is no QAnon.
It would have been nice is Trump had come out good and early and basically said, “A lot of people seem to be paying attention to this QAnon stuff. They think I’m involved. They think secrets are being revealed, the Truth is trickling out, and big things are going to happen. Let me tell you: it’s all BS. I don’t know anything about QAnon. Seriously. I think it’s fake. I’m asking people not to pay attention to it, because it’s a distraction and it’s fake.”
Q = Emmanuel Goldstein?
I thought Flynn was the Hero of the Q Followers……….
Wow.
Lin Wood has fallen, now General Flynn rejects them.
Anons should take out a “Help Wanted” ad.
“Wanted, a somewhat creepy conspiracy theorist with a knack for riddles that can’t be solved. No experience needed pay is based on number of clicks to a web-site.”
I read 2 or 3 of the “Q” postings crap at the beginning, and IMHO it was so childish and goofy, never bothered again.
I’m sure you think Flynn had himself setup by the Deep State
QAnon may very well be a leftist disinformation effort, but it comes across more as a quaint little cult of those who think they have “inside intel.” It’s more likely someone sitting in a basement laughing his ass off as he gaslights the Q-berts.
