> Publicly trade company. <
Yes, you are correct about a publicly traded company being in a different legal category than a strictly private business. But I’m really not arguing from a legal point of view. If you respect the concept of property rights (and every conservative should), then you should respect the boundaries set by a property owner, or by the owner’s representatives.
Of course there are exceptions. Most of them are covered by federal law. For example, it would be illegal for a restaurant to put up a sign saying, “No veterans allowed”.
His actions were childish, however if more of us behaved this way the Covid nonsense would stop.
You’re naive
Tantrum? Was he yelling, screaming, crying or cursing? I didn’t see any of that in the video. He was staging a protest.
You do realize the masks don’t work and there is a difference between a mandate and a law.
Sometimes property rights have to go to the back of the bus. So to speak. People need to push back, even in ways that make them a PITA. Liberals understand this, which is why they win. Conservatives don’t want to pay the price of resistance, which is why they lose. Leftists win because they want it more. Simple as that.
Do you maintain Rosa Parks threw a tantrum like a 2 year old for illegally sitting down in the front of the bus?
> You do realize the masks don’t work and there is a difference between a mandate and a law. <
Yep. Please see my post #18.
(But point #1 there does not apply to you!)
In a rational country, with private property rights, the owner of a business has the right to make the rules of his business. Customers have the right to choose whether to shop there or not based on the rules. This theoretically should eliminate these types of disputes and disagreements.
Ayuh.
Sorry, Florida is full at the moment. We would invite you to try Georgia (Coastal Georgia is quite lovely), or, maybe Southern Alabama.
Otherwise, will will allow visits, invitations to spend money, but, then ask you to “GET OUT!”, nicely. :D
Costco in Houston does not require a mask.
What happens when the owner of a private business is making the rules based on a 'suggestion' from the 'president' of the United States and purely for political reasons?
We all know what the mask joke is all about.

Yes, that is a fair point. But one can go overboard. Leftists do that all the time, and are rightly criticized for it.
I don’t like mandatory mask policies. As I noted earlier, if a store has one I’ll go shop somewhere else. But suppose I was moved to do more? In that case, I’d protest publicly on the easement in front of the store. I’d hold a sign, and state my case to anyone who cared to listen.
And I’d organize email drives and boycotts.
But I wouldn’t go all drama queen, and make the jobs of store employees more difficult. After all, those guys didn’t set policy. Harassing them is the easy way out.
“You are oppressing me but I will give you my money anyway”
Quite a few of the newer FR posters seem to have forgotten
Point #1. Throwing out personal insults is something the Leftists are fond of doing. It does nothing to advance the argument and so should be avoided.
**We are not here on FR to bash, trash or personally destroy each other.
Save that vemon for the real enemies, i.e. The Globalists, The Wokes and all their destructive Zombies.
Agree. No need to make a scene...then again many enforcers are afraid they will be complicit in SPUHREADING the disease if they don’t enforce.
Two things I have not seen is: telling someone to put the mask over their nose as well as their mouth...or they get kicked out, some food manager telling their food handler who is not wearing gloves to use the gloves.
Costco must be about the only business here in Florida…other than Disney…that is enforcing this.
