The circumstances in the Rodney King incident were much different. The cops were acting under color of authority so that gave the Feds the excuse to step in. There’s no “there” there for the Feds this time.

In a just world, you would be right. But the obsession of politicos and the media with “crossing state lines” suggests we don’t. It is a talking point that has been hammered over and over for months now. Why? Crossing state lines is the trigger for many federal criminal statutes. Garland has shown himself as an unprincipled puppet of the far left. I suspect he will find one.
The DOJ already made themselves hated by the American people when they went after mothers and fathers. I really don’t think they would risk it with a republican congress almost certain. They couldn’t get by on an annual budget of $14.75 and thatwould be exactly what it will be if they keep abusing the people. Remember the most effective tool we have is the purse strings.
Try that in Alabama, with your fantasy "firearms detectors." We'll see what happens. And you BETTER get a gun, if you really don't have one.
