So, I completed my “Inclusivity, Diversity and Equity” training over the weekend.
Some pre-packaged thing from an on-line provided (RW3).
I saunter over to the training website (third-party vendor), click on my company name in the drop-down menu and get a reply, “Hello, Cletus!”.
Flag#1...the website knows my name as it obviously received “one sign-in” credentials from the company.
OK, my answers will be completely anonymous?
Nahhh....
Next, they ask me my location and I choose from a pick-list...United States, which introduces bias.
Next step, “Gender Identity”; Male, Female, Non-binary. No decline option here.
More bias.
Now comes the funnist part; Age!
Chose from a drop-down of decadal ages so I pick 60-69.
Then more Social-Justice mumbo-jumbo that had nothing to do with my official job-description (religion questions, men v. women questions, my thoughts on team-make up at work. Just crappy stuff.
Responses are on a scale from ‘Disagree to Agree’ no ability to decline to answer the questions.
At the end, I receive my congratulations and the vendor ends with comment page.
One question: “Was this helpful?”
I chose “No” nad declined to comment - the only time in that entire 45 minutes of dreck that I was allowed to decline an answer.
Of course, this is one more arrow in my “hostile work environment” quiver.

That is so disgusting.
I have a BIL who is now 82 and retired for many, many years from a company that had employed him for decades. One day, his presence was requested at HR, where he was told something like, “I see you have not yet taken the sexual harassment workshop”. This man is the last person you would expect to behave in an untoward manner toward women.
His response was something like, “Listen, I am 62 years old. Don’t you think it’s insulting for you to tell me how to behave?”
