I like the tiny red pepper flakes in Miracle Whip that give it a light spicy kick. Mayonnaise works too.

I make my own Miracle Whip… in a wide mouth pint jar, put 1 cup avocado oil, one fresh raw egg, 1 Tablespoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, pinch of sea salt. Use an electric hand blender stick that fits inside the jar and just spin it until it emulsifies into delicious mayo. Keeps in the fridge about a week.

Yup. I’ve tried different oils like olive, safflower.. but they all impart a flavor that just makes the Mayo taste off. I find the avocado oil hides its flavor the best.
The bottled mayos are also full of HFCS and preservatives.
