Yes, we have a rider on our Insurance also. Unfortunately, our house was not built with very good seismographic resiliency. None of the other houses here were either.
However, the shed/storm shelter combo we built is supposed to be better — so at least we might have a shelter out of the rain should we survive a quake that downed the house.

I am transferring more of my savings into gold and silver bullion. Not all. But I think there is a major financial upheaval coming soon. Gold and silver are on the launch pad and the US fiat dollar will soon be virtually worthless.

That’s a good idea. But silver is suppressed at only $24.95 an oz while gold is riding at $1863 per oz. At the standard 60:1 ratio silver should be at $31 or more. I caught the silver bug when O’Zero became president but gave up on it for all the market manipulation. But if silver is suppressed it would be a good buy and hold for when artificial banking control breaks down. I’ve heard people say that hard assets today are the thing to buy, such as car, property, and houses. Try goggling your current vehicle that your driving; “buy 2008 Toyota Corolla. I was shocked to find a used car dealer selling one for $7488. And I thought it was only worth a few hundred bucks.
