“Enjoy the ICU care with inexperienced new Grads and imported Nurses from Asia and elsewhere who use English as a second language and have never had to contend with genuine trauma or post surgical care.”
I was yelling at my 92 y.o. father on the phone a few days ago about having worked in the top hospital, involved in research every day, and literally helping build build the current equipment in use in NICU, if a unit can afford the new stuff. I’ve been completely shunned by my family and not allowed to see my grandchildren because I refuse to be vaxxed. My husband refused and died of a cardiac event (induced by his job... or gov. weapons?) and they’re all just waiting for me to die of Covid. They all assumed that’s what killed him. Yes, good luck with any of the nurses being trained on equipment or being able to apply their poor education. I was a diploma RN, and the BSN nurses were useless out of college actually trying to work, let alone in an acute unit or ER. Lots of knowledge, little application. They could only work in the office out of school for the most part, or pass meds. Having lived in multiple foreign countries, including the Philippines...good luck! I hated working with foreign nurses- made my job at least twice as hard, and those were the ones that were at least semi-functional.
Pops88, I feel your pain.
Prayers up for all families torn asunder by this evil plot.
The love is still there, just below the hurt.
God will fix this.
But until then, we better all stay out of the hospital and try to stay in touch with loved ones. As they say: Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.
“Diploma RN”
me, too-from Pittsburgh. Pitt university was just starting their degree program and did their rotations at our hospital. They came to be known as Pity students after a doc told one of them to cut the IV AND SHE PULLED OUT HER SCISSORS and snipped it apart. They were such sad peeps.
Good first hand info. Thanks for sharing that.
It is tough getting old. Not for wimps. At 66 I am a shadow of my former self. Care taking my Mother now who’s 86 and been widowed since 1997. She needs help now and the duty falls to me. I thank our Lord every day for all His blessings no matter what the day shall bring.
I appreciate your input here as do others. Your voice is powerful and resonates truth which we all need as we share the burdens of this day and age, and as did our ancestors in their time, we now carry on.
The truth is our light. Darkness cannot abide the light.
Let your light shine Pops. you are in good company here.
