me, too-from Pittsburgh. Pitt university was just starting their degree program and did their rotations at our hospital. They came to be known as Pity students after a doc told one of them to cut the IV AND SHE PULLED OUT HER SCISSORS and snipped it apart. They were such sad peeps.

That pretty much covers it. I worked in a teaching hospital with a fair number of brilliant doctors also with zero common sense. Incredibly disturbing. It left me with White Coat Syndrome. It gave my sister a chuckle when I was hospitalized once, watching my BP monitor rise significantly every time a nurse or doctor walked in the room. I already avoided them like the plague, now Covid....
