They use the 30-30 for executions? Sweet!

Years ago I bought a Marlin 336 with a cheapo scope on it from a guy walking around at the gun show. I didn’t sell it at that show so I got a box of ammo and took it to the range.
Slightly sub 1” group off the bench at 100 yards. Wow! What would it have done with a decent scope? I still kick myself for selling it.
I have began hunting with my grandfathers 336 in .35 Remington.

I love mine. Got some sort of a thing for it. Can’t go out, and shoot anymore due the multiple demons running loose inside my body ‘H’ bent on killing me, but I don’t believe I could even be without it. Next time I have the energy worked up I’ll have to put in a Prayer Request. Prayers work. I’m on many lists thanks to many friends.

I would be the .22 LR has killed more deer than anything else. Unless you are just counting the legal ones...

Because in the real world, it’s almost perfect for defense and hunting.

I have a Marlin 30-30 lever action. I ejects from the side instead of the top like the Winchester. My wife gave it to me for a birthday almost 50 years ago.

..because I can pick off 5 or 6 Antifa members in the time it takes them to charge their AR's

It’s just fun to shoot.
Powerful enough without the pain.

"Because my 30-06 Gamemaster kicks like a mule. I’m not shooting bull moose or grizzly bears. My 30-30 is just fine for deer of every size and type."
I have two; a Winchester and a Marlin that I would never part with. As for kicking, I enjoyed shooting a Swiss K-31 straight-pull carbine (7.5X 55mm) on the range. Once, I decided to take the Winchester along to compare and was surprise how much harder the lighter 30-30 kicked.

I still have the Winchester 30-30 I received in 1972 - along with the JC Penny receipt. It cost $67.

It is one of the most accepted rifle rounds shot by Americans, whether they be an old man, a young boy, a young girl, or a woman. This rifle has said ‘home’ to many over the years, whether that be taking game for the pot, defending against nature’s nasty critters or two-legged ones, it’s just right.
To me, it just feels right, either in the hand, or swing up to the shoulder, which will not hurt, as larger calibers might.
Unlike a newer rifle, you can shoot two, then load two, without a skip in rhythm, as long as you have cartridges!
(Lastly, by its design, it has never been on the gun bad list!)

Gotta friend of mine who owns a Winchestwer 73 his uncle bought for $5. Damn.

Why Is the 30-30 Still With Us? Because nobody remembers that its real name is ".30 Winchester Center Fire"?

It’s the original assault rifle!
Do we need another reason beyond that, to keep them around?
