Friends just moved from south of Redding CA to central north Kansas. Couldn’t stand CA any more. They had 12 acres, fruit trees, creek, lots of goats and chickens. Now they have an old farm house, a barn, a shed and 3 kittens. Cost 1/4 of what the CA property sold for. And people are friendly and normal. Not many people of course, very small towns.
