"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.

It’s that time of year again - when hundreds of filthy rich elitists fly their private jets across the globe to cry about using too much fossil fuels.
It was really about global warming - they’d do a zoom call.
This would be a great time to put that mediocrity named Fred Upton out to pasture too. Back when he was helping the Democrats save the world from the incandescent light bulb, I could not figure out if he was just clueless or on the take; I decided that he could be both.
