Ooops... So Baldwin was warned about safety issues?
Now THAT’S going to change things...

It’s a shame this happened but Baldwin is such an asshole I can’t help hoping it has negative consequences for him.Likely it won't. I can see him doing more anti-gun commercials with himself saying (and lying) that he followed all the rules and that the gun still killed, so handguns must be banned from the common folk.

He’s a rich liberal tho. They always have blood on their hands. Revealing their money grubbing ways pisses them off.
Do it again!

‘well this is his movie’
This movie is his glory. He’s flown so high without consequences already. This unfortunate accident is timely.
None of us are above reproach. He had forgotten that, until now.

This doesn’t past the smell test. The scabs WOULD NOT HAVE mistakenly used real bullets. When you’re dealing with props there are safety checks upon checks and test firing. There would have to be a deliberate loaded of real bullets into the prop gun. So no, something else stinks.

Because they use real guns on set too. and real ammo works really good in real guns.

They don't for the filming, but security for the set probably had live ammunition that got mixed up with blanks. The union armorers were released and non union armorers were brought in to take their place.
Hey? I wonder if one of the Union guys put some live rounds in one of the blank guns to make the non union types appear incompetent, which they are if they didn't check for live rounds!
To: marcusmaximus
Baldwin has murdered and injured more people in real life with less ammo than Keanu Reeve has in all 3 of his John Wick movies. Should have paid up to the union.

And the article doesn’t totally let him off the hook, either. It says actors train, train and train, but somehow this man who hated the NRA but used firearms constantly in his movies made an amateurish mistake. Something doesn’t add up.

Back in the 70’s, I was in a high school production of “Oklahoma,” and had a scene where I pointed a shotgun (unloaded!) at another actor. I actually pointed the gun about 15 degrees upstage from the other guy, so it was not directly pointed at him, but from the audience you couldn’t tell the difference. I was 16 at the time and knew better!

My father taught us never to even come close to pointing any gun at anyone at any time - even an unloaded BB gun. This was later reinforced in my concealed carry class when the teacher told us “All guns are always loaded.” Not “Treat every gun as if it were loaded”, but it was the mindset that ‘All guns are always loaded’ whether you believe you just unloaded it or not.

Baldwin has no say so or responsibility on the hiring of set personnel , that is the producer and director. Do you not have any idea on how these things work?
