have a nice day :)
I won’t click through because it’s an MSN link but I did hear Terry Jacks “Seasons In The Sun” on the way home from a beer fest in Westport today and it sounded good to me. Much better than the Top 40 we have today.
1950s===> some quite good music released
1960s===> the greatest music decade
1980s===> some fun songs released
1970s===> Gimme a break! Nothing!
I used to cry when I heard Wildfire. No, I don’t do that anymore. No!
I got as far as ‘Evergreen’ with Streisand before pop-ups took hold. Good memories. I was first a hippie, and then a disco queen, so Donna Summers is dear to my heart there. I took the Carpenters to FSU in 1971 when I was there as a Freshman. Memories, again. Thanks
Jeremiah was a bullfrog.
We used to sing that song while passing around the Boones Farm.
Chaka Khan! Chaka Khan!
Tubular Bells.
Alladin Sane
Shaft
I Talk To the Wind by Crimson King
Strawberry Letter 22 by Brothers Johnson
Tuesday Afternoon by.Moody Blues
Court and Spark by Joni Mitchell
What’s Going On? by Marvin Gaye
A Wizard A True Star by Todd Rundgren
And mucho more!
Great song. This is the original and features Duane Allman on Dobro. Later this was covered by Eric Clapner.
David Allan Coe
Almost went to the link - then luckily saw “msn”.
Sorry, don’t have nose plugs around.
I consider the 70s to be the Dark Ages of music. The 80s was the Renaissance. And the 90s was the Golden Era of music.
The clothing sucked
The hairstyles sucked
The color palettes for everything sucked
The cars went from bad to worse
Much of the muscic was nighmarishly horrible
Toto. The whole library.
...sorry, I just threw up a little in my mouth...
There were a lot of great rock. Frank Zappa, Almond Bros. Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, J Tull. And then the Vietnam War ended and Disco started up. It was as if there was the 1st half of the 70’s and then the 2nd half.
Nobody has mentioned Little Feat yet?
C’mon folks, get with the program here.
Msn keeps on flipping to other stories...will not bother with idiotic outfit like them.
The prevailing attitude appears to be that the best music was whenever you were a teenager. But there is good and bad in every decade. Some more than others.
My personal favorite is 1950’s music.
Anything with the Motown sound.
Worst list ever.
The 70’s was a great decade for music.
Surprised that some people here didn’t like 70’s music... Maybe they were listening to the music on that list.
