Magnetic filaments...ummm ok, mebbe I had this toy thing way back c.1952..
not saying I did, but mebbe accidents happen in youthful scientific endeavors, could have happened something like a knife came out of nowhere sliced open the plastic and some, umm some magnetic filaments might have spilled out...and I dunno, filaments just disappeared..could be that tunnel thingee snatched them up.

They just falsified their model. You can hypothesize “structure” or “1,000 light-years,” but you can’t hypothesize “structure” and “1,000 light-years” unless nothing moved for 1,000 light-years or all movement was relative to observation point and stayed in its proportional state.
