It doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes to figure out that pilots at Southwest Airlines are protesting their company’s move to require Covid vaccinations, even though the company and their own union denies it. Over the past weekend, Southwest was forced to cancel over 1800 flights:
The Dallas-based carrier canceled over 1,000 flights Sunday and 808 flights Saturday equivalent to 27 per cent of its entire schedule for the day, over the Columbus Day holiday weekend.
Prior to the arrival of Covid, Southwest was the largest carrier of passengers in the United States. I don’t know if that is still the case because the pace of recovery of airline operations has been uneven. But undeniably, Southwest is a major presence in domestic air travel.

Note to Southwest: You made two mistakes. First was going along with the so-called mandate. The second one was lying about what was going on.
Customers might someday forget the first. They will never forget the second.
They got SICK, and couldn’t go to work. That’s their story and they are sticking to it.

I used to work for Piedmont Airlines which was acquired by USAirways which was eaten up by American. (I left before the American merger.)
American is firing everyone who isn’t vaccinated in a few weeks.
Why the panic to inoculate every American but not one of those illegals storming the border is having to get the shot?
They are carriers of new diseases, old diseases and can spread covid with impunity as they are being deposited all over America.
Quite possible that the side effects of the “vaccine” could cause problems passing the annual medical pilots MUST have in order to fly. This could be a career ending decision.

I normally fly Delta, but I got booked in August on my first SW flight ever.

The folks that fly them are like Greyhound bus passengers, seats are crammed like sardines, dirty airplanes, and total boarding chaos.
Agree. Am torn about this. I stand in solidarity with anyone not wanting to get vaxxed to work. I will be losing my job on 10/31 for my refusal.
But on a personal, selfish note, I spent $600 for two flights to Fort Myers at the end of the month. Paid for a vacation before I knew I was losing my job. A flight cancellation is going to be a huge disappointment give the craptastic year it’s been for multiple reasons.
And I have NEVER had one problem with Southwest. They’ve been on time and professional.
I applaud the pilots. We need more of this. They want the freedom to protect their own bodies from harm without losing their careers.
Remember, almost all of these leftists and elite-minded communists who now operate as Democrats have no capacity for self-sufficiency. If the working class stops picking up their trash; stops mowing their lawns, shopping for them, doing their cleaning and essentially facilitating their lives, this entire group of people cannot function>>>

I have empathy for the Southwest Airlines flight crews.
From January 2020 until March 2021 these flight crews flew those planes during the pandemic.
In March 2021 the crews would start to become eligible to get vaccinated.
Many, if not most, of those crews were saying to each other: “We survived flying people during the pandemic, so why should we take a vaccine that is unproven now”
Southwest management issued their vaxx mandate without considering any facts regarding infections among the flight crews during the pandemic.
If I were a Southwest Airlines flight crew today, I would be calling in sick and would do so for the next two weeks.
Corporate management in the USA needs to be told in no uncertain terms that FASCISM is not allowed.
This is their Boston Tea Party moment. Do not fold.
