Across the Ohio River from me .. Members of an Indiana family who went to get flu shots, including two children, were accidentally given adult doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine, their attorney said.

One can now get both a covid shot and a flu shot at the same time.
Did that cause the error?
In any case, very young children should not be given a covid shot, at least until the FDA authorizes it!
And some of us (including yours truly) prefer to take our shots one at a time!!!!

Any med tech, nurse or idiot checks the vial before taking out the dose
A nurse or tech must look at the label before picking it up, again when taking it from the container then a third time when putting the container back down. Every time. That is by licensure. It’s part of why people trust nurses. Part of why nurses earn $30 to $40 per hour.
For this person to have done this not just once but repeatedly and after More such reports during the past week I say no sale. Not buying this account.
Solution ... don’t get any shots. OK, if I get bit by a bat or a rattlesnake, I’ll get a shot.
This should be an interesting case. Since the vaccines are protected by legislation, all that seems actionable is the injection error. Any long term potential problems related to the vaccine are probably shielded.

A few years back, a family member was receiving out-patient treatment for a very grave illness. The system of administering injections involved two nurses. One would prepare the injections. Then a second nurse would come in and verify that what had been prepared matched what was on the computer as what the doctor had ordered. The system seemed a a pretty reasonable way of making sure that the patient didn’t get the wrong thing.
The PREP Act immunizes the people doing the vaxxing.

I am not planning on getting my annual flu shots this year if ever for fear of getting the coronary vaccine.

The family said the younger child has been sick with a fever and a cough.
Either 5his was intentional, and the ce ter needs to be sued, or it was medical negligence and the center needs to be sued. You can’t unring this bell
Asked the nurse about the #3 COVID booster.
She said wait a week or ten days then go to Rite-Aid or Walgreens. Dr's office doesn't have the necessary refrigeration for Pfizer vaccine.
