Lots of my friends have decided to quit and retire just this very week. Many of them would likely never imagine opting out at so early a date. My reasons for leaving my job were due to mostly physical problems, but this mandatory inoculation stuff was clearly on the horizon. It was an easy choice for me as I have income, but still it was a huge financial hit.

Paying Overtime is cheaper than hiring additional workers.

An employee working 40 hours also is receiving Benefits, which are costly. That 41st hour does not include Benefit pay, often or usually, more than half the wage rate. Work them at Time and a Half pay for 60 or 80 hours, and save money.

Hire a new employee and pay their Benefits. Hire a Temp at twice the price or more. Better yet make everyone a Manager, define them as ‘Exempt’ and work them the 80 hours while still only paying them for 40. That is what my old Company did for decades and is still doing.

I’m not volunteering. I’m remaining in the control group and proudly will be terminated in four weeks, 9 months shy of retirement eligibility.

I'm in the same boat, but I'm not due to retire for another decade. Does anyone know what that means for pensions held at current company when you are terminated for not accepting the jab? Mine is a small pension that was part of our benefits when I started but was then done away with about 5 years into my employment. It's not much, but it's something. Do I lose that?
