It’s as if he set up the private companies, now they can be sued for discrimination and unlawful termination, because there is no law to fall back on.

Exactly what I thought when it happened. LOL I had been sitting there debating whether or not to sponsor a child, and had the thought ‘wouldn’t it be nice if I could find a girl whose birthdate was close to mine?’
Then I thought maybe I ought to think about it some more. Then the hand-waving incident occurred. Not that I would have given the paper back regardless, but the fact it was a girl born in the month before mine with our actual dates less than a month apart....I just rolled my eyes upwards and said “FINE!” 😆

The pilot emailed following the first Southwest post today (and provided his SWA ID to prove his identity). He asked that I paraphrase the email.
Essentially, the union cannot organize or even acknowledge the sickout, because doing so would make it an illegal job action. Years ago, Southwest and its pilots had a rough negotiation, and the union would not even let the pilots internally discuss the possibility of working-to-rule (which would have slowed Southwest to a crawl).
But at the moment the pilots don’t even have to talk to each other about what they’re doing. The anger internally - not just among pilots but other Southwest workers - is enormous. The tough prior negotiations notwithstanding, Southwest has a history of decent labor relations, and workers believe the company should stand up for them against the mandate. Telling pilots in particular to comply or face termination has backfired.

Meanwhile, Southwest has more flexibility than it has acknowledged. Federal contracts represent about 3 percent of its revenue, but even the Biden administration CANNOT alter existing contracts (please note, I have not checked this, though it seems reasonable); Southwest is only at risk of losing future contracts.
This pilot believes that the fact that the airlines received $25 billion in no-strings-attached cash for “payroll support” last year (as well another $25 billion in loans) has made them particularly reluctant to stand up to the Biden administration. Southwest’s CEO, Gary Kelly, may be in an especially tough spot since he is the head of the airline lobbying group.

Finally: This pilot says he loves Southwest and finds the crisis painful but feels that if this is the only way Americans can stand up to these mandates, then let the chips fall.

That’s why they created common core. The beauty of nath is there are several ways to work a problem, at the higher levels. CC doesn’t allow those, so also doesn’t teach logic and relationships.
So the college classes will need to be dumbed down too.

Not ONE attempt was made to contact/serve me when I was at Mar a Lago for 6 days, or home in NY for 8 days thereafter!
My understanding is they do. The organization sends periodic updates and photos of the child, we have a way to write letters to the child and the child is able to write back. They say many kids send hand-drawn pictures.
That happened with me and my kids! I actually complained that the teachers didn’t have a grasp on math. Most teachers were good with English, grammar and punctuation, but horrible with math.
As best as I could I taught my kids and grands multiplication tables in their head. My youngest granddaughter that I had anything to do with her education, she told me that an answer was was close enough. I explained to her why that is not true in no uncertain terms. I hope she remembers 5hat, as she is not living close anymore.
It’s been an open secret that he wants to be president. He has lost a lot of weight lately. When I saw that I thought he might be ready to make a move.
GOP-e is so adamant about Trump not getting the 2024 nomination they will be throwing a lot of folks at a wall to see who “sticks”.
IMHO Pompeo is the first.
